STATEMENT
My work deals with the subject of worth by considering the system of values that we bestow upon familiar objects and possessions. I am interested in how the perception of an object is altered by its material, situation, or scale, and by making ironic and playful changes to these properties I encourage the viewer to question the value of the object. I like to investigate ways of intervening with the found objects and incorporating ephemeral and incidental materials in the making process. In this way I aim to elevate the status of invaluable objects and materials, making them into art objects and vice versa.
