‘The colour Blue has had great importance throughout craft history, with particular significance to the textile and ceramic disciplines. The Blue show explores the different ways current artists use the colour blue within their practice. The use of the traditional blue and white, gives the works particular points of reference, the recognition of its roots and heritage in Europe as well as in the Far East. ‘

I will be exhibiting a new collection of ‘Finest Paperware’ pieces. The paper cup is an icon of the ‘throwaway culture’ and by imposing classical ceramic styling and playing with the material, I aim to highlight and question our tendency towards wasteful consumerism.
